What is ANR?
ANR is an acronym for adult nursing relationship, two adults in a relationship who engage in adult nursing. The woman may or may not lactate, the man suckles her regularly as part of their intimate relationship. This may or may not involve milk, it may or may not involve sex, it usually involves a loving couple committed to their relationship.
A couple may become a nursing couple intentionally or their relationship may evolve into a nursing relationship naturally. Sometimes it could be that one partner has a deep desire to have a nursing relationship, this could be either the woman or the man. Sometimes it may happen that the man will help the woman relieve engorgement following childbirth or even during the weaning process. Other times the couple may stumble upon this by accident as they learn the comfort and closeness of nursing for both.
Most couples experience a deep bonding through adult nursing. They may find it difficult to be apart for both physical and emotional reasons. They learn to communicate better and resolve issues faster; often out of necessity. She will be uncomfortable when it’s past their usual nursing time, he will still want to be at her breasts, with or without milk. Differences have to be put aside to join back together even if for practical reasons. Soon things that once seemed like big differences become smaller.
There are some who deeply desire to have an adult nursing relationship who are not currently in a relationship. Often this desire can be so strong that they seek to specify this as they are seeking a relationship so that this will be understood by both. There are forums dedicated to finding a partner who also desires this. There could be difficultly with going about finding a committed partner this way as there is with online dating. There are websites that are dedicated to helping singles find a partner who also desires to have an ANR
The couple may actively work towards inducing lactation or find the bonding to be enough even without milk. Lactation can be induced by any woman with breasts, or even a man but we’ll focus on women here. A woman can relactate if she has lactated previously or induce lactation even if she has never had a child. There are several ways to go about inducing lactation but we will focus on the natural methods here. Sometimes the desire to lactate is so strong that a woman may wish to go about inducing on their own. This too is possible.
Regardless of the details, couples will likely find a renewed and strengthened bond as their ANR continues.
